Dr. Zeigler has been practicing in the Atlanta area since 1999. He founded the practice at Atlanta Orthopedics and serves as the Medical Director. Dr. Zeigler is also the Director of the Orthopedic Trauma Program at Gwinnett Medical Center.

Dr. Zeigler attended undergraduate college at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He graduated with a BS degree in biochemistry, earning high honors and Phi Beta Kappa membership. He also attended the University of Florida for medical school, graduating MD with honors. He earned an academic excellence award each year, and was also elected early to the AOA Honor Medical Society. The next stop for Dr. Zeigler was Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. During his time there, he worked with the University of North Carolina ACC athletic programs including the Tar Heel Football team, Men’s Basketball team, and National Championship Women’s Soccer team.

After completing his residency, he went on to a one-year fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. During his fellowship, Dr. Zeigler received advanced training in fracture surgery and trauma reconstruction, arthroscopy, knee and shoulder surgery, and total joint replacement. Dr. Zeigler is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), and also a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). He is also an AO/ASIF Musculoskeletal Trauma Faculty member.

Dr. Zeigler is involved as the Medical Director of Atlanta Wellness Lifestyle and Sports Fitness, which he founded. He is currently very active in athletics and training including mountaineering, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, adventure racing and running.
