Todd E. Zeigler, MD

Medical Director, Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Zeigler has been practicing in the Atlanta area since 1999. He founded the practice at Atlanta Orthopedics and serves as the Medical Director. Dr. Zeigler is also the Director of the Orthopedic Trauma Program at Gwinnett Medical Center.

Dr. Zeigler attended undergraduate college at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He also attended the University of Florida for medical school, graduating MD with honors. He earned the Academic Excellence Award and was elected to the AOA Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Zeigler is involved as the Medical Director of Atlanta Wellness Lifestyle and Sports Fitness, which he founded. He is currently very active in athletics and training including mountaineering, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, adventure racing and running.

Beth is a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor, Wellness and Lifestyle Consultant and Certified Yoga Instructor. She attended college at the University of Florida and the University of Central Florida. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1999 and a Master's in Mental Health Counseling in 2001.

Beth worked in Florida for seven years as a therapist for children, adolescents, adults and families. Beth has experience and training in applied behavior analysis, trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and eating disorders. She has been practicing yoga for six years and is trained at the 200 hr level in yoga. Beth is also a Certified Life Force Yoga® Practitioner, trained to use yoga in the treatment of anxiety, depression and PTSD.

At Atlanta Wellness, Beth leads group fitness classes, yoga classes and private yoga sessions. She strives to create a noncompetitive, safe and relaxing environment in her classes. She emphasizes self acceptance and compassion in her work both individually and in groups.

Christine Truhe, BA, CPT, RYT 200

Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Registered Yoga Instructor, Boot Camp Leader

Christine Truhe is a certified personal trainer and has been involved in the fitness industry for over 15 years. She holds the following certifications:

Certified Personal Trainer (ACE - American Council on Exercise)
Registered Yoga Instructor, 200hr RYT
CPR Certified (American Heart Association)

She also holds a BA from Kean College in New Jersey. Christine has designed and implemented fitness programs for corporations and sports facilities in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. In 1999, she developed the adult aerobics program and North Gwinnett Community School and was honored as teacher of the year. Christine specializes in private personal training sessions, small group personal training and exercise classes. She has helped many individuals who have physical limitations or chronic conditions such as back, shoulder and knee problems. Her experience includes working with teenagers, adults and seniors. Christine has completed a core-training workshop with Paul Check and incorporates flexibility and core strength into her individual training programs. As a trainer, Christine works with individuals to improve flexibility and balance. Her wellness and personal training programs are designed to help individuals achieve a healthier lifestyle and gain the best results in the shortest amount of time.

DawnMarie Teany-BS, MBA, CPT

Certified Personal Trainer

DawnMarie is a Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She is also certified in CPR, AED & First Aid. She attended Illinois State University, where she also conducted biochemical research for cancer, and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. She also attended Keller Graduate School of Management and graduated in 2002 with a Master’s Degree in Business, specializing in Marketing.

DawnMarie worked in the Swimming Pool & Spa Industry for 15 years while also fulfilling her passion for physical fitness. She now dedicates her time solely to overall health and wellness through Personal Training.

DawnMarie has experience in client assessments and individualized fitness program design. She also has experience in appropriate exercise selection in areas such as flexibility, core, balance, cardiorespiratory, reactive, Speed/Agility/Quickness, and resistance.

Outside of personal training, DawnMarie is an active mother of 3 and enjoys making jewelry, home improvement/decorating and spending time with friends & family.

Carol Milton, CPT

Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Pilates Instructor,
Certified Yoga Instructor

Carol, a native Atlantan, currently lives in Sugar Hill with her husband and 16-year old daughter. Her interest in fitness started 30 years ago while going to school for her BBA in Marketing. To help pay for college, she worked full-time and taught fitness classes part-time in Atlanta.

After receiving her degree and because of her love of fitness, she chose to focus her career in physical fitness. She is a certified group fitness instructor specializing in Pilates and Yoga. Her experience includes implementing and directing a fitness program for adults and seniors at First Baptist of Buford.

She taught Yoga/Pilates for several years at the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville GA. With a genuine passion, she seeks to help individuals achieve their specific fitness goals and concerns. Carol has a friendly way of relating to clients, and finds joy in discovering each individual's needs. Even if you don't like to exercise, she will help you find something you like and help you stick with it. Her love of fitness is catching!

Sue O'Connor, RYT 200

Registered Yoga Instructor

Sue's journey in yoga began about eight years ago. Reaching a stage in life where one is searching for a deeper connection with oneself and at the same time having purpose, she attended her first yoga class. The sense of something greater to be discovered unfolded. Since then, Sue's practice deepened with much research, reading, and many more classes. Finally deciding to share this knowledge and passion with others, Sue took to the rainforests of Costa Rica where she studied and received her certification as a Yoga Instructor and is now registered with Yoga Alliance. Sue's teachings are based on the belief anyone can practice yoga, and her style is genuinely warm and comforting. Students have said:

Leslie Davis, MS, RD, LD, CDE

Nutrition Consultant, Registered and Licensed Dietitian,
Certified Diabetes Educator

Leslie Davis received her B.S. degree in Human Nutrition from Colorado State University and her M.S. degree from University of Florida. She has been a licensed, registered dietitian for 20 years as well as a certified diabetes educator for 18 years.  She has extensive experience in coaching individuals and groups of all ages in weight management. Leslie has also helped recreational athletes, high-school athletes, collegiate athletes and professional athletes with fine tuning their diets to achieve optimal performance. Meal planning, eating out, healthy recipes, adolescent nutrition, healthy shopping and meals for a busy lifestyle are many of the different challenges with a family.  Being a mother of six active children she has experienced and dealt with the challenges of eating healthy while keeping up the demands of an active household.

Wendy Palmer is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and also a Certified Health
Education Specialist. Wendy has practiced nutrition in a variety of settings including
inpatient, outpatient, community and public health sectors. Whether you are looking to lose weight, improve your dietary quality or better manage chronic conditions like food allergies, diabetes or heart disease, Wendy has the knowledge you need. In addition, Wendy has a personal interest in prenatal and child nutrition and lifelong obesity
prevention. She is allergic to gluten and soy and is very familiar with diets modified for food allergies or intolerances. Wendy is a proponent of eating real, delicious and highly nutritious food while limiting and avoiding the all too abundant processed food products available today. Charlotte Scott, NCLMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Charlotte is a nationally certified and licensed massage therapist and body worker. She also holds  certifications in yoga, kinesiology,  acupressure, nutrition  and relaxation techniques and her experience as a Birth Labor Doula she brings a wealth of information to her sessions.

Charlotte has been working as a body worker for nearly 10 years. She was certified  in Swedish, Neuro-Muscular Massage and Reflexology through Rising Spirit of Gwinnett.  Her previous years of experience in yoga, kinesiology and relaxation techniques are integrated into each session.

Haley Myers, BA

Group Fitness Instructor

Haley was born and raised in Michigan, moving to the Buford area this past August after getting married. She attended Western Michigan University’s College of Aviation in Kalamazoo, MI graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Aviation flight, and a minor in Environmental studies. Her degree resulted in achieving single and multi-engine commercial certificates and associated instrument ratings. She plans to continue her training and get her Certificated Flight Instructor rating and flight instruct in the near future. Haley grew up doing technical ballet, gymnastics, and diving. She received her Primary group exercise certification from AAFA through Western Michigan University’s Student Rec Center. She taught kick boxing classes there to college residents. Outside of teaching classes, she likes to spend time outdoors jogging, biking, and hiking.

Zaida Figueroa

Certified Zumba Basics Instructor, Certified Aqua Zumba Instructor, Certified Zumba toning Instructor, Zin Zumba Member

Zaida was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States twelve years ago. She attended the University of Sacred Heart in PR and graduated with a Bachelor in Communications and a Minor in Tourism.

She is very sports oriented and active in tennis and her community. After being a stay at home mom Zaida discovered the world of ZUMBA (fun, Latin-inspired dance moves) as her favorite exercise. Three months later, she trained and became a professional Zumba Instructor.

Outside of teaching Zumba classes, she likes running, biking, tennis, dancing and spending quality time with her friends and family.
