Reflexology
What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a natural treatment to improve circulation, increase energy, lower blood pressure, aid in the process of detoxification and relieve stress and tension.

According to the heritage of traditional Chinese medicine, the human organs are reflected on the bottom of the feet where there are 7,200 nerve endings. Reflexology is based on holistic principles from the same Chinese roots as acupuncture.

By locating and applying compression massage at the reflex point on the foot which relates to the different parts of the body, balance is restored.

How Reflexology Works

Reflexology helps to balance all the body systems, stimulating an under active area and calming an overactive one. It doesn't change those areas that are functioning correctly.

Because reflexology encourages the body to relax, other functions are also affected (physiological, psychological and spiritual). Since all the body systems are closely interrelated, anything that affects one part will ultimately affect the whole.

Benefits of Reflexology

People of any age or sex, from babies to the elderly can benefit from reflexology. Regular reflexology treatments can heal and balance the whole body through the pressure points on the feet.

One of the most important benefits of reflexology is stress reduction. Approximately 70% of disorders in the body can be related to stress and nerve tension. Abnormal tension leads to tightening of the muscles of the spine, nerves are affected, resulting in pain. When tension is relaxed, oxygen and nutrients are allowed to flow freely to all the body tissues and organs. This process helps cleanse the body of toxins and impurities.

Many clients claim they have less sinus pain, reduced muscle aches, fewer headaches, a stronger immune system and an all over feeling of relaxation. Other benefits include decreasing the effects of diabetes, hypertension and insomnia
